The very next day, Wednesday, brought more fun and more relief from the worries of the dreaded upcoming Sunday. My sister, Erica, who was planning on being here the past weekend - but couldn't because of the ice storm, finally got up here! Ira was so excited to meet her - understood that my sister was coming to visit! Erica arrived and true to fashion - "got right in there" and began relating to Ira. Likewise, Ira took to her immediately! Erica had brought her a jewelry making kit and Ira LOVED it!!! The two of them started making jewelry right away and began their bonding process. My heart was overflowing w/ happiness and love watching the two of them together. Ira has ways about her that remind me of Erica when she was a child - she is very creative and loves to be creating constantly whether drawing, painting, writing or making jewelry - the two were having a ball together! Erica also offered me some "Sorry" relief - playing numerous rounds w/ Ira as Ira delighted in beating her most of the time - and keeping score by the way w/ her new found love of post it notes!!! That night we all went to Makota's Jananese Rest. for dinner. It was delicious as usual - but watching Ira delight in the experience of the Chef there at the table cooking was priceless - not to mention she gobbled everything in sight down - this child is NOT a picky eater!!! Erica left the next day and I think Ira was sad to see her leave - but she knows her new Aunt Erica will be a huge part of her life!!!! And Erica - THANKS for everything - jewelry, Sorry playing, and especially for all the dossier help!!!!
