Well another day down! I slept well last night except for my new “pets”. They have gotten in the habit of waking me each night about 2am. I’ll call them “Mickey and Minnie” – guess you all can figure out what they are!!! They have awakened me for the last 2 nights running around in a drawer that is in a small chest in the bedroom. But last night they were extremely loud so I finally stomped my foot on the floor beside the bed and told them to “cool it” – and they did! This morning I went thru that chest and found some old m&m’s, a few peanuts, a few raisins – looked like left over trail mix and the rustling was from a drawer I was using that had a package of nabs – well a ½ eaten package of nabs!!!! Needless to say all of that is cleaned out and wiped down w/ germX so hopefully no more snacking parties in my room in the middle of the night!
Picked Ira up this morning and was greeted with her giant hugs! I also get tons of hugs from many of the other kids – especially the ones that have gotten to know me. They are all so adorable! Ira and I headed back to market – after all we didn’t go yesterday! Then we came back home – put everything away and I just couldn’t stand sitting here all day so we went back out and walked around a while. We found a small toy store so we went in and bought her some markers and a notebook – she loves to draw. And we bought a ton of toys for the orphanage for her groupa. You would not believe what you can buy here for 50.00 USD – it’s incredible. Then we came back home and kicked back and relaxed – drew pictures – listened to music and played some games. Walked her back tonight w/ toys in hand and everyone was very happy to have something new to do. One of the games we bought was Twister so I can’t wait to see them once they figure that out. I may have to play a round with them in the morning!!!!
Time is slowly passing and we hope to have progress by the end of the week. Should have preliminary court Thursday and hopefully final court on Friday.
