Today started as any other – but as I’ve learned, never count on the days being the same!! I wt to pick up Ira up about 10. She was outside at the gate w/ 3 friends, Vassja, Alosia, and Max. They had the ball I had purchased yesterday so off we went – me following not having an idea as to where we were going. They took me about a block from the orphanage to a small playground!! Halleujah – somewhere to go! We shot a few hoops, played some volleyball, hung upside down on the monkey bars – yes I did it too!!!! The boys were most impressed – Ira just laughed saying “asta rojna mama” or “be careful”!!!! The 3 boys were 12, 12 and 13. So after a while off we headed back towards the orphanage. I told Ira we had to head to the apartment because I was expecting to hear from KT. So we took off and so did the boys!! They came with us – the kids are out of school this week so they are just out running all around and are allowed to leave the grounds for a little bit – however I didn’t have permission to have them with me so I was a little nervous. Anyway in just a few minutes I had an apartment full of teenage kids!!! They were having a blast with the Nintendo, the ipod, eating everything I had in the kitchen. They were drawing and playing games. It was fun to see them all having a good time. But soon I sent them on their way – worried they were not supposed to be here. So Ira and proceeded to make lunch and shortly after that there was a knock on my door – I checked the peephole and could see no one so I opened the door and there stood Vassja with his other 2 friends scaling my compound fence!!! So much for security – if 1- 13 yr old and 2 -12 yr olds can get me I guess I’m fair game – I need to let them catch the blasted rooster for me!!!! So back inside they came – let them hang out for about an hour then sent them back to the orphanage. I was able to explain to them that I was afraid I would get in trouble with the director – so off they went. When I walked Ira back tonight I was happy to see they were all safely back in place and luckily I didn’t get hauled off to jail for kidnapping!!! That’s all I need at this point!!!
