We were up bright and early this morning. I was so worried about oversleeping because we were so tired that I set my phone clock, called Dima for a wake up call (which he thought was funny) so we got up w/ no problem. But to my surprise and delight right after we got up my local cell rang and it was my good friend, Nancy, who is in country now on the tail end of her adoption. She new how tired I'd be and called to make sure I was up for my appt. Folks - friends don't come any better than that!!!
So Dima meets us outside at 9:30 and we walk about 15 min. to SDA. We waited only about 10 minutes then were called up to the office. I met a lovely lady, Maria, who checked my passport - asked a few questions, share some information and all was done!! That simple, that painless and tomorrow at 4pm we pick up my referral papers then off the region on Wed. morning. Then the next round of paperwork begins.
After SDA Erica and I walked around and visited several churches, shopped for some trinkets from street vendors, then ventured underground into the tunnels and found a pizza place for lunch that was just delicious! Came back in the afternoon and are just reading and catching up on email and blogging - also downloading some pictures finally. All in all a great day!!!!
you should be in region now, hopefully meeting with your girl!!! woo hoo!! I hope Erica got lots of pics :) :)

ReplyDeleteHey are you out there and okay. We had our SDA appointment at noon. We went in at 11:55 and walked out in less than 10 mins. Oles said he has never seen where people went in and out so fast. She looked at our photo album showed us the girls paperwork, Never even asked us a ?... WOW God is so good.
